*God created the world and man in His image-had fellowship w/creation.

*Man chose to go against Creator and pursue creation/own lusts. Mankind deserves death from the One Who gave them life. God cannot be w/sinful creation.

*Rev. 21 talks about God being in new heaven/earth and once again living w/His people.

*There’s a gap-how did God end up back w/sinful creation?

John 1:1–5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind. And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.”

>>>This passage starts off like Gen. 1-the beginning. But this tells of the Word that when forth and brought everything into existence-was w/God and was God.

*He was the life and Light to all creation.

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

>>>The Word (God) became man (Jesus) and lived “among us”-God lived w/His creation.

>>>God, through Jesus, was able to live among His creation, a picture of what it was in the perfect beginning.

JESUS WAS A PICTURE OF GENESIS 1.

>>>John 14:6-It’s about being w/the Father. Jesus is the way back.

JESUS IS THE WAY TO REVELATION 21.

>>>How is God able to live in a new heaven/earth w/His creation? Jesus!

>>>It was not enough just for Jesus to physically live w/creation bc they would be separated for eternity. Sin was still the problem.

>>>Jesus took the punishment for our sins/rose again, so that by believing in Him we can have new life w/Him.

*The Creator became man so that creation could be back w/Him.

2 Corinthians 5:19-For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. (NLT)

>>>God made a way for you to come back to your Creator.
